Sandra Umann was born in Germany, Dresden province in 1978.
After working as a Makeup Artist from 2000 to 2002, in 2002 she followed her true profession and studied art and photography in Munich and Paris.
But her creative ability seems to be a special natural gift or a special calling which she needs to follow.
She currently lives and works in Berlin, focusing on photography and art.
Her photographs, mainly influenced by life, stand as a poetical quest in which age and dignity are the keys to her aesthetic sense. Sandra Umann tells us stories of human being and daily life, tells us about the deeper spirit behind the facade — her portraits are snapshots both unusual and poetic, loaded with strong emotional power, and linked to one another by a thin symbolic thread: the dignity and individuality in everything and everyone, presented in an extremely sensitive photography. |
